raw materials

-40°C to +325°C, high temperature resistance, almost all chemical corrosion resistance, high cleanliness, low permeability, good elasticity and wear resistance. Mainly used in semiconductor, medical, energy and petrochemical machinery industries.

-20°C to +250°C, oil resistant, heat resistant, drug resistant, solvent resistant, intolerant to ketones, esters, and nitrates. Mainly used in O-rings, diaphragms, hoses, pump parts, automobiles, motorcycles, diesel engines, semiconductor industries and chemical equipment.

-50°C to +150°C, aging resistance, ozone resistance, weather resistance, drug resistance, wear resistance, water resistance, alcohol and ketone resistance, not for food use or in hydrocarbons. Mainly used in wire covering, automotive wind barrier belt, window frame, steam radiator.

-40°C to +150°C, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, tensile resistance, tear resistance, oxygen resistance and compression deformation characteristics, better wear resistance than NBR. Mainly used in the sealing ring of environmental protection cold coal system, air conditioner and automobile engine.

-40°C to +120°C, Oil resistant, water resistant, abrasion resistant, mineral oil resistant, non-polar solvent resistant. Mainly used in oil seals.  Mainly used in fuel oil, lubricating oil systems and nuclear industry, but cannot be used in ketone and lipid polar solvents.

-70°C to +220°C, heat resistant, cold and weather resistance, good electrical insulation, Oil, ozone and solvent intolerant. Mainly used in food machinery, medical equipment.

-150°C to +80°C, super wear resistance, impact resistance, low temperature resistance, chemical resistance, strong oxidant  intolerance, low coefficient. Mainly used in machinery, chemical industry, food and medical industry.

-180°C to +300°C, High performance engineering plastics, good heat resistance, wear resistance, chemical resistance, high compressive strength and high hardness. Mainly used in steam valve seals, air compressor seals, petrochemical seals and other high temperature seals.

-200°C to +260°C, heat resistance, cold resistance, chemical resistance, weather resistance, insulation material. Mainly used in low temperature and vacuum sealing, petrochemical, machinery, food and medical, cannonball, anti-melting gasket.

-195°C to +125°C, has excellent chemical stability, insulation and weather resistance, mechanical strength and hardness are better than PTFE, and the film has transparency and low air permeability rate. Mainly used in liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen equipment seals, vacuum systems, gas pipes, etc.

-200°C to +200°C, heat resistance, cold resistance, chemical resistance, insulation. Mainly used in transparent film, chemical pipeline, medical food and chemical industry.

-200°C to +260°C, heat resistance, cold resistance, chemical resistance, insulation. Mainly used in semiconductor ultra-pure fluid pipelines, medical food and chemical industries.

How to Choose Material for Seals?

1. Material selection according to medium type

Strong acid, strong base, strong oxidant, solvent → PTFE/PCTFE/PFA/FEP (static seal/gasket/coating ring); FFKM (Dynamic/Elastic O-Ring)
Oil, fuel, grease, hydrocarbon aromatic → FFKM/FKM/HNBR/NBR/PEEK/PTFE/PCTFE/PFA/FEP
Hot water, steam → FFKM/EPDM/PEEK/PTFE/PCTFE/PFA/FEP
Amine, ammonia, ether, ketone → FFKM/EPDM/PEEK/PTFE/PFA/PTFE/PCTFE/PFA/FEP
Oxygen, ozone, outdoor → FFKM/FKM/EPDM/HNBR/VMQ/PEEK/UPE/PTFE/PCTFE/PFA/FEP

2. Material selection according to temperature range

Ultra-low temperature (-200 °C to-50 °C) → PTFE/PEEK/PFA/FEP/PCTFE/UPE
Normal temperature (-20 °C to + 120 °C) → HNBR/NBR/EPDM/PCTFE
Medium-high temperature (+150 °C to +250 °C) → FKM/FEP/VMQ
Ultra-high temperature (above 250 °C) → PTFE/PEEK/PFA/FFKM

3. Select materials according to sports

Static sealing (flange gasket, static O-ring) → PTFE/Rubber are all available
Reciprocating motion (hydraulic cylinder, rod) → HNBR/NBR/PTFE + filling
Rotary seal (shaft seal, pump mechanical seal) → PTFE/FKM/FFKM
High speed/Severe wear → UPE/filled PTFE (wear resistance)
High purity/Semiconductor/Pharmaceutical → PFA/PTFE/FFKM

Strong acid 250 °C to be elastic → FFKM O-ring; Statically sealable PTFE/PFA gasket
Fuel system shaft seal → FKM (if the low temperature requirement is high → HNBR)
Boiler/hot water system → EPDM O-ring/gasket
Low temperature seat/low leakage → PCTFE (or PTFE, but with higher permeability)
Reciprocating cylinder seal (wear) → HNBR/NBR PTFE/PEEK retainer; Low temperature abrasion → UPE wear ring
